SYNOPSIS
Conceived by Anna Wiltgen and Maria Dulce Saldanha, 'Filhas de Gandhy: An Existence' documents the post-pandemic resurgence of the Afoxé group in Rio de Janeiro. Filmed at MUHCAB (Museum of Afro-Brazilian History and Culture), the project blends cultural workshops with audiovisual storytelling to highlight Black ancestry, female leadership, and the enduring strength of Afro-Brazilian traditions.
