SYNOPSIS
Meteoro is set against the background of the inauguration of Brasília and the government´s effort to integrate the New Capital to rest of the country by means of the construction of a series of radial highways. Meteoro is inspired in the real story of the crew building BR-020, that would join Brasília with Fortaleza(Capital of the northeastern state of Ceará), that was abandoned in a remote, unexplored and uninhabited region of the center of Brazil, after a military coup overthrows the constitutional government during the sixties. The film is full of humor, love, humanity and symbolism of this good natured multi-ethnic people that in spite of the most adverse conditions, never gives up its quest for a better society, where common good is the main objective. Meteoro is a comedy that portrays the diverse microcosm of the Brazilian people.
