The Nicaraguan short film will be present at the International Ícaro Film Festival 2016

The Nicaraguan short fiction film 'Beso de Bala' was selected to participate in the 19th edition of the International Ícaro Film Festival 2016, which will take place from October 22nd to 29th in Guatemala.

Written and directed by Diego de la Texera, the film tells a love story between a young man and woman who are guerrillas in 1977, a period when the military of the Somoza dictatorship and their acts of violence put an end to their relationship.

With a 12-minute duration, the work seeks to recreate the Nicaraguan Revolution and rescue the memories and examples of the leaders of the armed struggle, almost 40 years later.

The production was made in a partnership between Lupe Productions (Nicaragua) and Cinelandia Produções (Brazil), with the support of the Nicaraguan Army. The cast includes actors and actresses such as Tamara Salas, Alejandro García, Gerardo Sánchez, Andrés Cuadra, Bismark Martínez, and Carlos Ibarra, with cinematography by Frank Pineda (Camila Films) and executive production by Grace González.
