THEATER
Na Cola do Sapateado wins a new season in Leblon

In 1985, actresses Gisela Saldanha and Mabel Tude founded the group Catsapá, creating a unique style of tap dancing blended with Brazilian genres. Now, the show that started it all, 'Na Cola do Sapateado', premieres again at the Teatro do Leblon with part of the original cast: Gisela Saldanha, Flávia Rinaldi, and Maria Clara Gueiros.

The plot takes place in a classroom where seven students are surprised by a geography test. Having not studied, they use the sound of their tap steps as a Morse code to pass the answers, under the watchful eye of the professor played by Müller.

The production is a true historical reunion: Tania Nardini, director of the first version, writes the script, while Tony Nardini, who played the professor in 1987, takes on the current direction. The soundtrack features names like Rodrigo Santos (Barão Vermelho) and arrangements by Guilherme Fiúza.

The show proves its timelessness by maintaining the freshness and energy that made it a success over two decades ago, enchanting a new generation of spectators.
